free software by tony baldwin
Hi, I am tonybaldwin, translator and interpreter, and hobby hacker1), the owner of this site.
This wiki features software which I have created, and/or FOSS projects which I have initiated or in which I participate. All of the programs I have put together are FREE/OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE.
For the latest news on my software releases, etc., visit my blog or see Recent changes.
For those unfamiliar with the concept of FREE Software2), the term refers to Free as in Freedom (although, on this site, the software is also “free” as in price=nothing). This means, the software is free to download, free to use, free to copy, free to redistribute, and, even, free to modify, in that, you may access the source code, change the program to your own needs, and redistribute it again, so long as you abide by the same license, allowing others to do the same. They contain no spyware, malware or viruses, and won't stop working and ask for money in 30 days, either. I write programs for my own use, and then share them with others, as the Free and Open Source Software community has done for me. It's my way of giving a little something back.
As such ALL MY PROGRAMS AND CODE ON THIS WIKI ARE RELEASED ACCORDING TO THE TERMS OF THE GNU PUBLIC LICENSE version 33).
I wrote some of these to be useful to me in my translation work, or for other purposes, but, some were just for fun.
I hope you enjoy them.
If you'd like to contribute, drop me a line, or just jump in on the publicly editable support and discussion area of this wiki.
I have everything from http://www.baldwinsoftware.com (on SOPA supporting GoDaddy) moved over here! That old domain is now forwarded here, as well. This new site is hosted at linode.com, a much better host.

Also useful, we have a pastebin at http://tonybaldwin.me/paste, which comes in handy when you want to paste and share some code, but not post it permanently to the wiki.
