Fennel Meat Pie w/Spinach and Black Olives

Fennel Meat Pie


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • fennel seed
  • basil
  • salt
  • garlic
  • chives
  • black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • Cheese (your choice: mozz is good, feta betta, but in the photo here, you see chedda, because that's what I had on hand)

Sour Cream Sauce

  • Sour cream
  • Garlic
  • Chives


  1. Preheat oven to 325°F
  2. Mix up sour cream sauce and place in fridge to chill
  3. Mix beef, spinach, olives, eggs, and seasoning/spices to taste (I use my hands to mix it well, squeezing the mixture repeatedly until thoroughly mixed. (WASH YOUR HANDS both before & after! )
  4. Place meat mixture in 9 inch pie pan or other baking dish
  5. top with cheese.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 20 to 30 minutes
  7. Slice, top with sour cream sauce, sprinkle on a bit of chives, maybe some black pepper, and ENJOY!
